What information do we need and how will it be used?

We collect information about you when you book a programme or order a product on our websit. This includes basic contact details (including but not limited to name, email address, telephone, mailing address). This information can be accessed by our team in the UK. Appropriate security measures are in place to ensure your data is secure.

We use this information to provide our programmes, products and other valuable information to you, which includes newsletters about STEM related programmes and information within Cambridgeshire. You may unsubscribe from this at any time by following the instructions in the email.

For those delegates who participating in programmes, they are asked to give consent for relevant contact details needed to inform the delegate about the details for that programme (reminders, agendas, changes etc.).  Further consent will be sought for any issues beyond the scope of that programme.

For any events co-organised by Cambridge Hacklab Academy and a third party, during registration delegates will be informed as to which details will be shared with the third party organisation and asked to give consent for their details to be shared in this way.At some events there may be photography and/or filming. This is will be included in the consent terms when registering for the event. This material may be used in blogs, articles and related marketing materials.

Security

Your personal data collected is held and stored securely in accordance with GDPR regulations, without unauthorized access to your information.

The new GDPR laws allow us to keep your information in our contacts database for two years.  We will ask for your permission to renew the information regularly.

Access to your information and correction

You can request a copy of the information that we hold about you.  You can ask us to remove all your details.  You can ask us at any time to stop contacting you.  We need minimal contact with you to maintain your information with us, and we can explain this.
