1 Course Details
The objective of the workshop is to bring students together in a fun and open environment, where, framed in a competition, they learn to create technology, to work in teams, and about the future of autonomous vehicles and what the industry has to offer - supporting them in their future careers.
“Intro 2 Industry” concept aims to bring relevant industry challenges and experiences to secondary school students, while bringing together and engaging the business community.
During this workshop, students will split into teams and be tasked with designing, printing, and programming an autonomous vehicles to compete for the fastest time around our track.
In the workshop, Students will build industry relevant skills, they will get exposed to new technologies, and learn about industry – valuable information which will contribute to their career choices

2 You will learn :
You will learn technical skills, soft skills, and about the automotive industry, in particular autonomous vehicles.

3 Tutor: Alex Alexandrescu and Sofiane Bebert
Both have masters’ degrees, Sofiane in Mechatronic Engineering, Alex in Business Strategy (top of class), from the University of Manchester。
Both of the tutors are STEM ambassadors, on the board of governors, and Enterprise Advisors to local schools in Manchester.
They’ve been developing and delivering workshops for over 2 years in collaboration with teachers and industry partners.

Agenda
Day 1:
Students are split into teams and assigned mentors
Obstacle Course is introduced (Static & Dynamic obstacles)
Teams brainstorm design ideas for vehicle
Sub-teams are decided for design and development
Lunch Break
First iteration (and Second if time allows)
Agile Session Recap with lessons learned and next day plan

Day 2:
Agile recap from previous day with plan moving forward
Testing / Iterating/ Finishing touches
Lunch Break
Race!
Lessons learned & discussion about future of autonomous vehicles
Awards ceremony
